PRACTICAL TOOL
League season budget calculator
Model player dues and season costs before presenting a proposal. This planning tool does not replace league rules, accounting, or a vote.
The model in plain language
Player-weeks = teams × players per team × paid weeks. Planned collections = player-weeks × weekly dues. Expected collections reduce that amount by the chosen shortfall percentage. Bowling cost = player-weeks × bowling cost per player-week. Remaining = expected collections − bowling cost − other season costs.
Follow the default example
Ten teams, four players, and 24 weeks produce 960 player-weeks. At $25, full collections are $24,000. A 2% shortfall leaves $23,520. Bowling at $17 per player-week costs $16,320. After $500 of other costs, $6,700 remains in this model. That amount is not automatically an approved prize fund.
Where the assumptions matter
This tool keeps bowling cost fixed when collections fall. If your center agreement uses a different treatment of absences, substitutes, vacancies, cancellations, or makeups, model those separately. Do not present a forecast as money already in the bank. Team count, player count, and paid weeks must be whole positive numbers.
Use the result in a real discussion
Run a full-collection and a cautious scenario, then compare both with actual obligations. Label what other costs include and whether awards are inside or outside that number. League rules, member decisions, applicable accounting, and the center agreement govern real commitments. This page does not establish competition or financial rules.
